Sleep and Kryptonite

Posted by Squiggles on July 31, 2002, at 18:58:31

Peter,

I can't remember where but I have read
a journal excerpt where lack of sleep
acts as a kind of anti-depressant for some
biochemical reason i forget.

It was my experience at times before lithium,
that I did have what you describe: waking
up after a long sleep (and i used to sleep
excessivly 12 - 14 hrs was possible for me)
very depressed.

The two may not be related or due to something
else e.g. thyroid.

Check it out with your doc.
