> See a psych for the med combo you want to take. Family docs are paranoid when it comes to taking a benzo; it's ridiculous. I take Prozac daily, and Xanax when needed [not too often] but I take Xanax with Trazadone to sleep. Prozac is great for my depression and obsessing thoughts, but at times I still get anxiety. My family doc is not thrilled about Xanax, so my psych gives me the script. Good luck. My understanding is Buspar needs 4 weeks to be in your system with an SSRI. Supposedly it works well for some, but not for others.

Thanks Joy for your post~ I have been taking the c/b combo sense sept '00 it worked but for some reason the last few weeks it seems like it hasnt.
the celexa yes....the Buspar No.
I heard from my relation that also has social anxiety depression (the blessed inherited thing!)
that she has been on paxil and it helps w/ depress, GAD and SP.
