> I am manic depressive with a generalized anxiety disorder. I am taking Neurotin, Klonopin and Depakote. My anxiety does not seem to be getting better and My doc has suggested anti psychotic drugs. Right now I feel like I am taking enoug and don't want any more drugs. But I don't know the names of any anti-psychotic drugs to even check them out. If any one knows info would be appreciated. Also are they typically used for anxeity? Ellen

If it were up to me I would increase your Klonopin, that should help your anxiety. There are quite a few antipsychotic medications, too many to list them all, they are used to treat psychosis, hallucinations, delusions, or other serious thought disorders. Antipsychotic drugs may or may not be effective in treating anxiety, but are used sometimes to treat manic depression. I am not a doctor.
