Nope, sorry.
This board is supposed to be a support board for university students (grad or undergrad) with mental health issues (including anxiety and depression).
So maybe it is a little more general than you would like...
That being said I don't know of a better board...

What are you studying?
How is it going?
Are you doing coursework or a thesis at the moment?

hi,

i am studing anthropology and criminiology. i am finishing up coursework and have started my qualifying exams.

i was looking for a general group at the university's counseling center, but they don't have a general phd support group, which i really think they should. it would be nice to listen to other people complain about themselves which would make me understand i am not alone in this situation.

are you an undergrad or grad student? what are you studying?

Ah. Exams.

Yeah. I guess it would depend on how many PhD students there are at the university. And then how many of them there are who would like such a group.

Philosophy. Doing my Masters Thesis at the moment sort of filling in time before I start my PhD. Sort of trying to get into places. I should start either this year or next depending on how my applications go.

I'm currently procrastinating my dissertation. I can't let it go much longer, because it's what's holding me up from finishing my degree. I agree a support group would be great. I remember early in my grad school career, I said to a student a year ahead of me "Do you ever think you weren't meant to do this, that you should just pack it in now?" And she said "every day, gg, every day!"

Why don't more people tell you this? I thought I was the only one having doubts and anxiety.

You are not alone in this, tkmphd. And I know studying for quals is hard. It was a great relief when I finished mine. Good luck on yours.

gg
