T told me that there's no way that I'm going to get better if I just sit around stuck in a pattern of suffering. I need to get organized. get a little work done every day, or else I will never get my dissertation done. Figure out what I need to do here, so that I can take my data and join my husband at my "vacation home" and work from there. I need to be with husband. i'm reassured, because I was worried that T might try to keep me around here, because this is where I'm getting treated, not where my husband lives. I was worried about having to make the choice. Now it seems simple. Be with husband. Be happy. Get work done.
Oh yeah, I have some passive-aggressive tendencies. We're going to have to figure out what that's all about. Next week. yay.
And the most precious thing. I said, I'm not really excited about what I'm studying, or about getting a job when I'm all done. He said, well you need to figure out what makes you excited, and what you want to do with the rest of your life. Oh, but we're all out of time. That's your homework (with a wry smile and a twinkle in his eye). I said- that's so cruel! He said- no, that's therapy, we can't solve all your problems in an hour. HAHA
I think he talked like 70% of the time this week. Like a mentor. none of this weepy stuff that I did a few weeks ago. And I went back to work and worked for 2 hours (well, kind of)
gonna make a to do list. (small and manageable) for tomorrow) One of the things on my to do list is to find my purpose in life. lol.
-llHere's what I'm trying out:
1) my purpose in life is to play on pbabble. (oh wait. probably not so healthy)
2) my purpose in life is to be a professional sorbet taster
3) my pupose in life is to play with kittens, but only the hypoallergenic ones
4) my personal favorite: My purpose in life is to be the human equivalent of a housecat. Eat lots, get regular massages, have lots of nice friends, and lie in the sunny windowsill all day, and in someone's lap if possible. Come and go as I please, generally trying to be amusing. When that fails, just walk away, tail held high. With dignity.

I'm glad you got what you needed from him. :)
And I'm extra glad you're going to be with your husband. Working from where he is sounds like a great boon to your mental health.
A good husband is a wonderful thing, isn't it (he? - not sure what pronoun to use)
