Are transferences with male T's always about secret hidden away 'father feelings' that were never resolved? I have a great relationship with my dad, parents are still married and everything. He's never been abusive, not an alcoholic or any of that kind of stuff. So what I don't understand is that I am very attracted to older men and unavailable men (like guys married, bosses, professors...basically guys in the role that it would normally be inappropriate for me to pursue something with).
I have never thought of my T in a fatherly way. All I see is a hot, older, married guy that I wouldn't mind seducing...sOoO...what's up with that?!?

I strongly believe that there is a strong correlation between yourself and someone else, beit a girlfriend/boyfriend, spouse, doctor, therapist, that you relate to as a "mother-figure" or "father-figure." You know the saying "mama's boy" or "daddy's girl." Some males, such as myself, subconsciously become attached to women that can mother them emotionally. I will speculate that some women become attached to men who protect and pamper them like daddy did.
As far as the men/women you are attracted to that are married, I would say that they are attractive because that shows commitment. Looks and money don't hurt either.
Pursuing a man/woman that is usually not your type is an interesting question. I was a heavy drug/alcohol user, but I always seemed to get hooked up with straight chicks (maybe drank very little socially.) Like good girls seeking bad boys. Obviously there is some opposite attraction to fill what the other feels they are missing.
