my symptoms: i feel weak and jittery, like i have no strength and i feel empty inside like i'm dying, and then i get scared and just want to lie down, but then i push myself to go to the gym and workout and even though it's difficult i'm still able to get in a good workout although i don't feel any better afterwards (sometimes i do)
anyways, how can you tell if you're just feeling some anxiety and misattributing it as depression, or if you're really feeling depression, or if you're feeling neither but are just obsessing and wrongly attributing feeling "anxious" or "depressed" when you really are okay?
btw, i've been taking Lexapro 30mg for 5 weeks now, was on XanaxXR before which helped me to feel better but the withdrawal was (is?) rough

Gosh, I don't think you should go to the gym if you feel weak and jittery and lacking in strength.

Or if you actually have a physical illness that could be causing you to feel weak and jittery?
Can you see a doctor?

I know nothing about these meds, but I still feel you should see a doctor about your symptoms.

hi Tamar
yes, i've been to the doctor, got checked out, i'm in great physical shape, all my bloodwork has proved normal, doctors say i'm obsessive and that i overreact to normal physical feelings in that i perceive them as bad or dangerous or wrong when there is nothing wrong, maybe they're right in that when i feel anxious or depressed i might just be having normal feelings and then i label those feelings as anxiety or depression? or maybe i really don't feel good? i'm not sure anymore> > my symptoms: i feel weak and jittery, like i have no strength and i feel empty inside like i'm dying, and then i get scared and just want to lie down, but then i push myself to go to the gym and workout and even though it's difficult i'm still able to get in a good workout although i don't feel any better afterwards (sometimes i do)

>Maybe the Xanax withdrawl is making you feel weak and jittery? Is that a pretty high dose of Lex? Lexapro 5 mg knocked me out, but I know everyone is different. Anyway, I agree that going to do something physical when you're depressed or anxious, is a good idea if you can get yourself going. Usually makes me feel better, IF I can get going. Anyway, the symptoms sound more like anxiety to me, just personally. Can you run it by your p-doc or T?
