It depends on what state you are in. I googled psychologist limited license and found this for Florida.
Licensure Requirements
The following criteria must be met to become a limited license psychologist in Florida:
The applicant was licensed to practice psychology in any jurisdiction in the United States for at least 10 years.
The applicant is retired or will retire from the active practice of psychology within six (6) months of the date of the application.
The limited licensee can only practice in the employ of public agencies or institutions or nonprofit agencies or institutions which meet the requirements of s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and which provide professional liability coverage for acts or omissions of the limited licensee.
You can probably find something for your own state either the same way or by contacting your state psychology board.
