I'm a Newbie and need advice

Posted by WanaBfree on August 11, 2004, at 18:16:59

Yes, I'm another lost newbie requesting an acknowledgment. I posted a request re: weaning off Zoloft and starting Wellbutrin but not sure its in the right "chat room"? Anyway, if anyone out there is interested in helping a newbie find her way, I'd love to hear from you. PS: I've read over the FAQ but would rather hear from another poster. Thanks.

Hi there, WannaB! Sometimes these boards get a lot of traffic. Sorry if your post got lost in the midst of everything. Welcome to Babble.

I've never taken Zoloft but have been taking Wellbutrin XL for 4? 5? months now as an adjunct to Effexor XR. The wellbutrin made me jumpy like a jackrabbit at first, but I have settled down lately. It helped me stop crying everyday.

I bet there are other Babblers with similar experiences to yours. You can try the main Psycho-Babble board. If you put "Weaning off Zoloft, starting Wellbutrin" or something like that in the title you are most likely to get some good responses.

Let me know how you're doing - I check in here pretty often.

(You did get one response that I could see.)

PC -- thank you so much for responding! Amazing that one little thing can make or break my day. I'm hoping to start Wellbutrin in a month and actually might look forward to being jumpy for a bit since the Zoloft has made me "flat" and slow moving -- another reason why I've probably put on a ton of weight. In any event, I'm so excited to have found this website. It's nice knowing there are people out there like me who struggle on a daily basis with their emotions. Hope you have a few cloudless days soon! Take care, WanaBfree

PC - I did? Thanks, I'll have to check it ... I'm so excited ... okay, "excited" is accurate but hopeful. Thanks for caring, WanaBfree
