From reading your posts, you seem like the female version of me. lol.
Anyways, I was wondering if you have been on or have ever considered trying Nardil.
I recently just started it, and from what I've read here and elsewhere, it may be a sort of miracle drug for both of us.
Just wondering your thoughts on it.

Hi,
Thanks for writing. I'm just curious--what have I posted that you've identified with most?
Anyway, I have never heard of Nardil. I will ask my doc when he gets back from vacation. I'm feeling very depressed and alone after having my relationship end recently and just feeling rather alone in the world.
Well, in any case, it's nice to know that there are others out there who can identify with how I sometimes feel. And...I do have one new friend who really seems to care about me...even if there is no man in my life who love me.

"I am uncomfortable in social situations and have very low self esteem.
Tonight I went out with some friends. They are all closer to each other than they are to me, but sometimes I'm invited to tag along. Well, try as I might I am always awkward and sorta left out. I am not completely clueless, but I have a knack for saying things that just slightly don't flow with the rest of the conversation and for not having the right body language or whatever. It is so depressing to me because I try so hard--but what is the point??"
That just really hit home with me, and sounds like a classic example of social anxiety disorder(being uncomfortable in certain social situations, not knowing what to say or how to say it, despite being an interesting person, feeling judged by others, etc...)That's exactly how I feel, and after finally getting over the embarrassment of admitting to myself that I have social-anxiety, I discovered this wonderful site that discusses Nardil...
http://www.socialfear.com/
After doing some further research on Nardil, I read, based on many reports, that it is often a miracle drug in treating social-anxiety. Not only does it wipe out the anxiety, but it makes you more social and likeable in general! My doc gave me a prescription for it, and while I haven't had any positive results yet (it usually takes several weeks like most antidepressants), I'm very optimistic!
Just something for you to consider.

Hmm, thanks for the info. about Nardil. Am I correct that it's an MAOI? I'm rather nervous to take those...
Anyway, good luck with your anxiety. :)
This is the end of the thread.
