I suppose this *could* belong on the /studs/ board.
Here are some of the ideas I'm working on incorporating into my self-scheme
1) I am a smarty
2) I am a good worker
3) I don't have to write the best dissertation in the world. I just have to write MY dissertation
4) I am smart enough to get a PhD
5) People believe in me
6) I have the tools necessary to write a nice dissertation
7) writing feels good.
8) writing makes my thoughts more organized
9) I like it when my thoughts feel organized
10) writing is creative
11) I am a very creative person
12) Deadlines are my friend
13) meeting mini deadlines gives me a good chance to celebrate by taking a stretch
14) I am worth this effort
15) I will never have to write another dissertation again in my entire life
16) I am the only person in the whole world who knows this topic right now
17) My psychological baggage is under control right now.
18) People love me and will support me through these next 2 months
19) My physiology will cooperate with my dreams
20) I have no enemies- only people who don't understand me or themselves
21) I am brave
22) I am like a cat. I land on my feet. I am agile and flexible. I am patient and quick. I am curious. I am cute. I like fish.
23) This is the hardest academic work that I've ever done, but I've never been more prepared to do well
24) Pharmacology will help me through this period
25) I don't need to worry about what I will do after I'm done. The future will happen no matter what, and I'm not going to starve
26) I'm going to be a Dr. Ll
27) I used to be 27.
28) Now I'm even better. I'm 28.the end
-Ll

This is a hard one for me:
>I don't need to worry about what I will do after I'm done. The future will happen no matter what, and I'm not going to starve
I constantly worry about what I'll do when I'm done.

I will be a doctor of philosophy
that's what PhD stands forI guess I don't really want to talk much about my specialty. I'm not really sure that it's relevant or interesting to 99.99 percent of psychobabblers. Also, I am going to be looking for jobs sometime, so I prefer that people not figure out what kind of stuff I study.
that's all
