I have my moments, i listen to music, i feel so freaking good about myself. Im not some narrcissst who has excessive love to them self, yuk. Its natural.
Do you ever talk to your self to cheer yourself up?

CBT challenges you to challenge your thoughts. Replace a negative thought with a positive one. Or act happy and you may become happy. Love Phillipa

I've been on Prozac 30mg for about lets see 4 weeks now.
What i realized when i took adderall, dexedrine was that i was alot more confident in what i did how i spoke, act, in general basically. But i read Amphetamine realease dopamine which makes you feel witty and confident.
Right now im trying to reach that point with out psychiatric drugs. Mania, i dont care, its hard right now. I mean it. But i you know i just belive that i can do it because im just matt.
Prozac is a bluff, it blunts me to be social, i want to be like this all the time.
But if anyone can respond to this, oh yes Phillipa CBT is an option.
Thanks
Matt

I don't feel that my medications ever made me feel more self confident. They have calmed me, stimulated me, caused to to sleep and get some rest... but they have not touched the loathing that underlies so much of my anxiety, and my depression.
What they have done has been to allow some control over the physical manifestations of my illness so that I have the wherewithall to learn skills that challenge the way I perceive myself.
I do have innate self confidence that's been submerged and diverted by depression and situational anxieties. I'm using this board to reinforce the skills necessary for that confidence to become a habit.
