i say to HELL with treatment! i checked my insurance benefits for partial, and it turns out i have a huuuuuuge deductible, and even after i meet that, they'll still only pay 50% of the per diem cost. figured since i'm ambivalent about recovery as it is, there's no point in going & wasting my parents' money

Unless your insurance specifically excludes more than that, you may be surprised at what can be arranged. Don't give up just because one person at the insurance company said that's it. Get info on the appeals process.

And rethink your priorities: don't think about whether you want to get treatment and recover, but whether you'd rather get treatment NOW and recover NOW, or put it off until you've done even more damage to yourself and your body. Trust me. It's a hell of a lot more expensive to get treated later in life, when more damage has been done.

What's more, having just been through this, very few eating disorder specialists will see adults with anorexia nervosa. (They will see bulimics, though...)

I realize that won't convince you, but I hope it gives you something to think about.
