I think that maybe I take too many vitamins, which may be complicating my depression. Today, I'm trying to take my medicine in the morning and waiting until I get that "feeling" that I need to take something else. For me, the 200mg of B6 is absolutely essential as well as zinc, vitamin E, vitamin B1, and 500mg of GABA each day. I have become dependent on the vitamins after taking them for several years, so I suspect it would be difficult to go days without taking them. I'm not saying that they don't help, just that I may be overdoing it with the supplements, like my doctor told me.
I guess during the course of the day I could wait until my mood shifts before I take the vitamins. Sometimes this happens in the morning after I take my meds, so it seems my body is demanding that I take the vitamins to feel more normal. It could also be that either the antidepressant causes mood swings or it's just the nature of the illness. Since I have switched from Risperdal injections to the pills, I seem to have more control over my mood swings, but the Risperdal is definitely not enough and will not control the pyroluria that I have.Lao
