I know some of the antidepressant activity of SJW is attributable to (hyperforin's?) effect on CRH. Does anyone know of any other herbs that can affect the activity of CRH ?

Golden Root (Rhodiola Rosea) may inhibit the release of Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone during periods of Stress
Rhodiola rosea extract has been shown to reduce CRH release under stress, thereby reducing levels of cortisol.
Elevated Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone may contribute to Depression (CRH stimulates ACTH which, in turn, stimulates the production/release of Cortisol, which is implicated in Depression).
Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone deficiency has been implicated in the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease (preliminary research indicates that CRH is being depleted by another (as yet unidentified) Protein that is present in the Brains of Alzheimer’s Disease patients). Most Alzheimer’s Disease patients are found to have decreased CRH levels

Just thought I'd add a bit more information for whoever might be interested in how CRH is implicated in depression.
