Curious how do you see the new pic at the top of the pages of babble? What do you see the picture depicting? Thanks Phillipa

The photo is small and may be hard to make out, but to me it depicts a naked woman (at least topless) in a moment of despair. I can see the artistic merit, as the exposed flesh could represent vulnerability, although at least one person has complained that it is a disturbing portrait. I usually don't even notice the photos.

The woman looks sad to me. It looks like she's naked and lying on top on someone's legs (gender unknown).
I don't feel strongly about it one way or the other.
It doesn't look pornographic to me. I mean she looks naked, but the "naked parts" aren't really shown in full. I think American Apparel's ads for their knee high socks on their website are WAY more pornographic.
This is pretty tame in comparison and I don't believe its intention was to arouse sexual feelings. It just looks like art.

I agree with you both. I see the female very despondant with unseeable in detail naked breasts. I thought she was bending over kind of on herself. Art is how one views it isn't it? Phillipa

She looks forlorn. Are those someone else's legs at the bottom? Maybe she is snuggled up against a significant other and is not alone with her sadness. Just a thought.

hmm.
yeah, it reminded me of harlow's monkeys to start with. No marks for why. but something was odd about her legs. I didn't think they might be someone elses, but that fits with the lines, better. So then I get why some people thought it was sexual, yeah. She seems unhappy... And someone is there, yeah. What that person is feeling / thinking... Who knows.
I mean... Whether they are a comfort to her of making her feel worse.
