Display order of threads

How about chronologically inverting the threads on the forums, i.e. the most recent threads appear at the top of the page. I find it a bit of a drag to have to scroll down for ages every time I want to read the most recent posts, while the older posts at the top of the page I usually have little or no interest in, because I have already read them.

Other than that, I cannot help but notice that on my computer, about half the screen is unused in the Psycho-Babble forums, i.e. there seems to be a lot of unused screen real-estate. I'm just wondering if it is possible to display threads in a more space-efficient way so that you don't have to scroll as much to get from the top of the page to the bottom.

Just a suggestion, for possible long-term implementation... I must say that I like the friendliness and simplicity of the Psycho-Babble interface - many other forums that I've encountered are near impossible to navigate.
