I wasn't aware that Dr. Bob was allowed to report to the police if someone threatens suicide. Does it say this in the FAQ?
I do support taking action in case of a suicidal member - as a physician, it is his responsibility to do so - but I am curious as to how one would go about finding someone's identity online. Is it via IP addresses?

"In the case of abusive posts, I may notify their Internet service provider (or, in the case of threats, other authorities)."
In the 2 cases I know of that the police were called, it was the ISP that called them, after Dr Bob contacted the ISP about conserns for a posters welfare.
