I still read the site (after all these years) and have noticed some private communication in public where one can read the hidden meaning or jab at someone else. I see this often enough to ask...how is this civil? Could this not be done in Babblemail? I would give an example but that could lead me to make someone feel accused or put down.
Happy Holidays all :)

I'm glad you're still here. It's not always an easy question, which jabs should trigger an administrative response. They could be done by babblemail, but maybe an audience is important for some reason?

Thanks for the kind words and speedy reply Doc Bob...I am still lost on this as far as the civil issue. Aren't we all suppose to be civil at all times? Would a jab at someone in public be considered not civil? Maybe I should email you the specifics as I can't seem to find any way to ask this without pointing posts like the ones I am speaking of out..and that would not be civil..thus leaving me not communicating this as well as I would like. Sorry to be so vague.
If I am reading you correctly and you have read me correctly...I can see why the people making the comments would benefit from an audience however those who are the ones who are being spoken about would feel put down don't you think?
I will also follow this up with an email..Thanks :)

I've noticed that a bit also. I suppose it's human nature for groups and cliques to form on a board where people hang out. The fact this is a public board complicates things. I think people can be lulled into a potential false sense of intimacy/community and thus, it can work in both ways - a feeling of being in the loop or very much out of the loop.
What I've noticed moreso is the disclosure of inside info - bits and pieces of information that have probably been a part "off site" discussions.
This is the end of the thread.
