On a more serious note Dr. Bob. I had occasion to be at my computer for a long stretch of time today. I spent the time looking up other support sites, for spouses, for people with my disorder(s), even a professional site.

At the risk of sounding like a sycophant, all of them (including the professional one) were sadly lacking your moderation and civility guidelines. I wouldn't wish any of them on my exceedingly civil husband.

A support board for spouses and/or families with a moderated and civil atmosphere would be a great service. Unfortunately, I'm all too aware that some support might be appreciated. In the event that you add such a board, I'm sure that my husband and I could work out an arrangement where we could trust each other to respect our mutual privacy. And I would ask that he would be allowed to post there. Now whether or not he would choose to might be another matter. :) But I'd like him to have the option. He'd just have to forego the admin board. :)

Thanks for the feedback. :-) But a board could be moderated even if there weren't explicit guidelines or civil even if it weren't moderated -- are you saying you didn't come across any like that, either?

Hmm, maybe this is more complicated than I thought... There's no way I can be sure someone really is or isn't someone else's spouse, right? So it would be hard to *enforce* anything. So I think it would need to be an honor system, anyway...

Couldn't he even be posting here already?

Plus there's the issue of a spouse reading even if they're not posting...

You mean the best part? :-)

Nary a one. In fact I almost registered at one and told the spouses off for being worse behaved than any identified patient I've ever seen. I guess I've been spoiled at Babble. And the site for professionals was moderated, and still didn't come near the pleasant atmosphere of this site. I'm sure there are well behaved spousal support sites. I just didn't run across any yesterday.

Now here's where having a compulsively honorable spouse comes in really really handy.

See above.

Ditto.

Hmmm. I'll refrain from answering that one. :)
