Hi!
If you currently take lamott and it's working well for you can you PLEASE check & post the name of the generic manufacturer that makes the kind you are taking?
If you can't find the name on the bottle (Ex: Teva, Taro, Zydus, Cipla, Aurobindo, etc) can you just post a description of the pill which would let me look it up? Like white, round, number ##.
The company (Teva) that made the lamotrigine I've take for 10yys stopped making it and I need to find a comparable alternative. I have had very bad experiences with some brands of lamotrigine in the past. Personal reports will help me feel more confident that I'll been ok even if the Alembic my pharmacy swithmched to fails me.
Thanks!!!

So I had to go back to the new lamotrigine Walgreens gave me last month since I'm out of the Teva kinda. It's my second time trying it and this morning I have extremely bad dry mouth (desert like).
The good news though!! I misread the FDA report and it seems Teva (at least for now) has only discontinued the chewable types of Lamictal BUT the 100mg variety is in shortage. Even though I take 200mg my script is for 100s so I can take morning and night.
Guess I'll be calling around a lot today.
I still would love to know what types of lamotrigine other have had good success with. The day Teva goes bankrupt seems to be on the horizon :/
This is the end of the thread.
