This is an interesting article. Its finding suggest that there are not clear lines (genetically) which distinguish many psychiatric disorders.
The 4 disorders (bipolar, depression, schizophrenia and ADHD) all had some degree of genetic overlap. This could be why people often respond to medication combinations (i.e. AD + AP or stimulant etc).
