trileptal

Part of my med combination...Trileptal, 1200mgs. 600mgs AM and PM. Works well. Having said that...

...I'm weirdly sedated. As in, I can do things, but I feel eerily calm about everything. I still have emotions, they're just not as intense. My concentration isn't the best, but Wellbutrin has really helped with that, and some that could be situational, psychosocial, etc. etc.

I also take 100mgs Lamictal. Do you think I could do with less Trileptal? Does anyone w/ somewhat similar issues take Trileptal at a lower dose?

I should add that I do take a hefty dose of Abilify. 30mgs/day. I don't think the Abilify dose is negotiable, so I was thinking about trying to get the Trileptal reduced.

Oh, and I very rarely take a low dose of Neurontin for anxiety and sleep. 100mgs capsules, I'll take 1-2 at a time.

Thanks in advance.

"blockade of voltage-sensitive sodium channels, thus resulting in stabilisation of
hyperexcited neural membranes, inhibition of repetitive neuronal firing and diminishment of
propagation of synaptic impulses. In addition, increased potassium conductance and
modulation of high-voltage activated calcium channels may also contribute to the
anticonvulsant effects of the drugs"
