Hey SLS:
I was wondering if you could please tell me the medication you take for PTSD/Nightmares. I believe it is a blood pressure med. I take clonidine, but it has stopped working.
Thanks a million...

At these higher dosages, prazosin can help with daytime anxiety and depression in addition to PTSD nightmares. I need 30 mg/day to produce a maximal antidepressant response. I like dividing my dose into three times a day.
It is critical that you begin treatment with a single 1 mg dose to be taken immediately before going to bed. Otherwise, fainting (syncope) becomes a real possibility.
