Hi
Please excuse me if make a mistake in summerising this:
Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by Toxoplasma gondii
Toxoplasma is a single celled parasite which affects the behavior of rats
Literally altering their brain chemistry so they're attracted to Cat Urine, making them more likely to be eaten by catsThing is many humans have Toxoplasmosis as well
The thing that worries me is that I spend a lot of time with cats
No one really knows what affect it has in humans
Although its been implicated in Schizophrenia
I wonder if people who experiencing relief from Mental Health issues with Antibiotics are benefiting from the Parasite dieing off?

I thought it was of danger only to pregnant females, and the source was cat feces. So changing litter not recommended Phillipa

Well the problem is that Toxoplasmosis can be very serious, but this is somewhat unusual
Fetuses are particularly susceptibleA lot of humans have Toxoplasmosis infestation, but have no obvious symptoms
The Parasite is still active though, perhaps altering our brain chemistry in subtle ways
But its only really been researched recently.....
I'm really not sure what affect the parasite has on human behavior
There's some evidence that people with Toxoplasmosis are more susceptible to car accidents, for example.................
