Is it possible that only 10 mg of Prozac is causing intense apathy and lack of motivation? I wouldn't call myself depressed, just numb and so unmotivated that I'm spending day after day in bed. Part of my lack of motivation stems from anhedonia, and I don't know if that's a function of depression or the Prozac. I'm also on 200 mg Lamictal, 3 Omegabrite fish oil pills, and 3 weeks on 7.5 of Deplin, which i may increase shortly. If I reduce or eliminate the Prozac will this problem resolve?

Prozac at 20mgs increased my apathy quite a bit. and as you know, everyone is different. i dont know much about Lamictal, but i wouldn't doubt that Prozac at 10mgs can cause quite a bit of apathy.

apathy is a common side effect of SSRIs.
is your doc ok with stopping prozac?

Yes that is possible at 10mg.
Lamictal probably isn't helping the issue.
But if you're not depressed, then that's a great thing so don't mess with it. The only thing left to deal with is the anhedonia. Try adrafanil, modafanil, ritalin, adderall. They can make the prozac work even better and reduce the apathy side effects too. Adrafinil ordered from overseas kept me nearly apathy-free on prozac/zyprexa for years. Stimulants best bet, TCA second bet, low dose abilify or zyprexa third bet. in my opinion. Of course any of these things could backfire and have you feeling worse and if that happens then switch out of whatever it is immediately. Anhedonia stuff is going to work fast or not at all, so don't waste time on long trials. I'm just saying, it sounds to me like your serotonin system is being well cared for by prozac but NE and DA need the same care in order to have a potentially robust effect.
