I'm on effexor, was on risperdal consta (last dose 4 weeks ago).
I went off the consta because my prolactin was moderately elevated, and I had flat affect and no sex interest for past 3 months. I'm wondering if mirapex might help, if cause is indeed prolactin being high-- mirapex reduces prolactin and elevates sex interest as a result, but pdoc claims it is doing opposite of what antipsychotic is doing, and therefore can't be used. (thoughts?)
I'm now on latuda 80 mg. My flat affect has gone away, yet the lack of sexual interest hasn't. Risperdal consta takes 4-7 weeks to eliminate. We're talking incredibly incredibly faint sexual interest.
I'm also noticing my testes don't get heavier when I drink a lot of caffiene, but feel silly to say this to a doc. I'm wondering if it had toxicity or it's just prolactin... Worried it'll always be this way.
This is the end of the thread.
