Hey Guys -
I started on Lithium 300mg for about 10 days and just bumped to 450 last night and doctor wants me to be MINIMUM at 600.
I woke up this morning incredibly sluggish (have needed 3 cups of coffee + adderall for energy) and have an amazing feeling of complete apathy. I'm not very anxious (normally I'm very jittery and anxious!) but I'm completely apathetic. Everything seems boring.
My question is does the extreme fatigue and apathetic feeling go away? Is this just me adjusting to Lithium?
I want to give meds a chance to work but this feels awful and unlike "me".

That doesn't sound like a regular lithium side effect to me. It can cause cognitive side effects, like a foggy feeling or slow thinking (I just started on lithium 600 mg and I have that). But emotional flatness isn't something I've heard about. Ask your pdoc.
This is the end of the thread.
