change from clonazepam to lorazepam

Posted by linkadge on September 3, 2011, at 14:19:36

Hi, my doctor and I decided to try this switch.

(as I am mainly taking it for sleep).

Any experiences comparing the two?

Thx.

Ativan is much weaker in my experience.

If you aren't using it for anxiety there might not be any issues.

Pretty simple, you should be able to do a "hot change over", just take your clonazepam one night, then the next night, change over to lorazepam.

if taking a benzo for sleep, it has been found that taking it with 25-50mgmg of diphenhydramine (benadryl)can give a significant boost to the effect

lorazepam is a bit weaker than clonazepam. It actually is a muscle relaxer also. You may like lorazepam better.
