Hi, anyone can tell me how log does it takes for aripiprazole (Abilify) to have a noticeable effect at low dosage? Thanks

You should get some relief in a couple of days, and most of the relief should be apparent after 2 weeks - if not, then go back to your doctor.

Thanks, a friend is taking it and the first day he felt bad, tired and objects fell from his hands. He now takes half the dose at night. He´s been on it for a week maybe so it is soon to know if you say it takes two.

How low a dosage? I found that less than 5mg had no effect on me at all. 5-10mg made me feel fine within 48 hours. It also made me gain tons of weight, so I went on and off, tried it with synthroid and cytomel. Nothing stopped the weight gain, so I had to stop the abilify. But it worked really well and really fast for me

The drowsiness and clumbsiness should get better over a couple of weeks as well

I would think it would act immediately as the one time took seroquel out like a light in about 30 minutes? But only on it one day doc took off. Phillipa
