I am not expectating much from the emsam.
I cannot go back to less than because of insomnia.
I have to be my child's advocate in addition to living my own life.
I don't understand my long term pdoc. I don't doubt he cares for me, but with a life so full of uncertainty, I need to take my mental health care out of the situation.
I will talk, of course, but I am going to request a trial of an appropriate maoi. No AP's.
We'll see what they say. I believe there is a awaiting list, but My interview is next week. It certainly can't be as open ended as my current treatment.

Of good Stanford that is great. So are you saying no emsam? Other than the insomnia I thought was working? Love Phillipa

no matter how decent a pdoc is, if you're having issues and not making progress, its worth at least seeing what other docs have to say. Even among pdocs, opinions and prescriptions can vary so wildly, you could end up with entirely different treatments (which I guess could be good or bad...or much of the same) just by seeing a different local doc.
I hope you find relief soon. What's an interview like? Are they screening you before taking you on as a patient, or is it a normal medical appointment?
This is the end of the thread.
