high salt consumption causing low mood?

Posted by rovers95 on April 25, 2011, at 8:28:38

I've recently noticed that my depression seems worse (i go really flat) when i have lots of salt with my food, has anyone else noticed anything similar or could suggest any reason...could it affect blood sugar levels?!

Thanks

Rover

Could affect blood pressure. And when menstrating I'd get a headache just before think it was water weight in brain also? Just a thought. If male do you notice any swelling anywhere? I've not heard of salt and depression though. Phillipa

Sodium enhances the excretion of Magnesium, I believe
They are in balance-ideally....
Our modern diet is high in Sodium & low in Magnesium, which can cause problems.......

Just one possibility, probably nothing to do with what your experiencing

apparently there is a form of adhd responsive to K
