I have this obsessive thought thing going. I am aware of my breathing and I can't seem to get my mind to shift or go back to regular thinking if you know what I mean.
I've had it off and on for most of my adult life but it usually goes away and this time it's being stubborn.
Any ideas??
Thanks!
Laney

Laney yes I do know what you mean. OCD is a form of anxiety. But with paxil having worked so well for you for 13 years sounds like you respond to serotonin. Luvox is used for OCD. I have had it for years also my anxiety is a form of it. Have you talked with your doc about it? Phillipa

If thing get really tough atypical antipsychotics (usually at a low dose) can work wonders for many.
I have seen Nardil help with this.
SSRI's seem to offer minimum help, with many disadvantages, on the whole.

Laney,
18 grams of Inositol a day and 2400 mg of n-acetylcysteine a day along with my zoloft has literally killed my ocd. There are plenty of articles to read about the merits of all three.

I would actually urge a higher dose of Clomipramine than this line of tx.
