Sorry for a somewhat similar question - I asked this about luvox a while ago...
doc agreed to let me try effexor again, this time with adderall.
I'm currently taking 10mg of lexapro.
Can I cross titrate these? Or can I just stop taking the lex tomorrow and start taking the effexor?
and finally: anyone take adderall + effexor? Did you lose weight?

How long have you been on luvox? I can't get off it and am combining lexapro with it per yesterday's pdoc appointment. With the low dose of benzos. My pdoc usually just switches over. But she leaves it up to me. I feel it depends of the person. As for weight loss I'm sorry I don't know. Phillipa

Sounds like you've already taken action. If your still interested, I would think effexor beats lexapro in rock, paper, scissors. I actually think I did that exact exchange once w/ ease.

I believe I did. It's been about ten years, but yes, that's what I remember. Has your doc given recommended dosages? That I don't remember. Usually my ssri, snri doses are low. But I do remember starting conservatively w/effexor and going up once. Does 75 to 150 sound familiar?
