I just googled lamital xr and it says for partial seizures. I once took lamictal regular and it was once a day dosing so why the xr? I took it to enhance an ad? Confused. Phillipa

It has been my experience that twice-a-day dosing produces a more consistent mood improvement than once-a-day dosing.

when i took it i would experience withdrawal symptoms after 20 hours or so (ie before my next scheduled dose), maybe others had the same problem.

Lamictal XR sounds like a marketing gimmick to me. Standard lamotrigine (Lamictal) can be taken once or twice a day, depending on what works best for the individual. If it proves necessary, taking it twice a day should not be too difficult :)
We don't have Lamictal XR here. I imagine it's ridiculously overpriced so this is probably a good thing.
