Anyone switched from Paxil to Prozac?

My Pdoc has me taking both right now. 20mg. Prozac and 10mg. paxil. I hope to get off of paxil. How long did it take for the prozac to kick in? How did your switch go?

First one I ever tried at 20mg when new. Now I wasn't depressed but the effects of anxiety were immediate so if depressed would think very quickly. Phillipa

For me Paxil helped but made me tired, fat and impotent. Prozac has had no noticeable side effects for me and seems to work pretty well. I think it took like 3 weeks to start kicking in properly.

It is one of the more energizing ADs though and can therefore increase anxiety if you're prone. Of course YMMV.
