I'm doing a valium taper, which is very difficult.
I've read some studies showing that Trileptal (oxcarbazepine)has shown helpful sometimes in benzo withdrawal.
has anyone had success in doing so?
I'm a little hesitant, because i've taken it before, and i found it quite energizing, and i think even induced semi-hypomanic episodes.
I'd take it, get crazy social, facebook for 2 hours, talk on phone with friends, etc. Then i'd hit a depressive low for a while, then feel completely normal from 6pm til bedtime.
Is it best to steer clear of this after those effects?
