that's right folks - another Nardil thread. right now i am having the worst insomnia with nardil. i was prescribed zopiclone and am taking it 3 nights in a row with one night off to avoid tolerance. the night i don't take it i fail to sleep at all (not a withdrawal i don't think; i was not sleeping before i was prescribed it). anyway, i have to work and find it incredibly hard to function the next day with zero sleep. i am drinking coffee for energy but am growing tolerant having it everyday. have been meeting to try the nicotine patch (recreationally, admittedly - read on a nootropic board some people described its effects being akin to adderall) and thought might now be a good time if i could maybe cycle between caffeine and nicotine for energy. just worried about its effects on blood pressure. is it safe to take with nardil?

sounds like a bad idea to me.
1. once you get some tolerance to nicotine, you'll need to wear a patch at night, or it messes up your sleep (smokers generally sleep worse, and better if add a patch. i think it is more about REM sleep, but still not good most likely)
2. nicotine if taken while on an MAOi is extra addictive. of course i'm on an MAOI and i was using nicotine lozenges this week for an exam, but its something to be extra carful with.
i'd add ALCAR and creatine if you haven't already. theres always fasting, too.
