hi

for people who have taken both and did a withdrawal from the drugs: what can be worse in your experience, ADs (tca, mao, ssri, atypicals) or benzodiazepines withdrawal?

warm regards

For me, withdrawals from benzos were bad, withdrawals from ADs worse than benzos, and withdrdawals from antipsychotics worst of all.

I always did very slow tapers in eensy weensy tiny steps. It just seems to me ADs have a more profound effect of changing the homeostasis of the brain, nervous system, hormones, and immune system, and is thus much harder to undo. Antipsychotics even worse. Benzos are hard, yeah, but they don't have such broad downstream effects as the other meds.

But that's just me.
