Hi, anyone found it beneficial taking Wellbutrin XL in two divided doses, like 150 mg morning and 150 in afternoon? I am no expert in bupropion pharmacology, but with different metabolites in a 24 hour time release tablet, things get a little complicated.
Also, if you take the XL just one time a day, anyone found a beneficial time to take it?

Linda,
I also am interested in hearing the answer to your questions. My daughter takes WBXL 300mg in the morning which works pretty well for her, but we've noticed some time periods during the day when she appears either over or under medicated -- for this reason she is considering taking it WBXL 150mg twice a day, morning and early evening, to try and even things out more.

It's already in XL format, so splitting should be unnecessary. Technically, the company says not to split the XL tablets (though my pdoc told me it would be okay, the official line is not to).
I always took it first thing in the morning since it had such a stimulating effect on me. But after a week or so on it, I don't know that it made any difference what time I took it--the insomnia persisted.
This is the end of the thread.
