I'm not sure that it will directly help OCD; however, when I took it a few years back, it definitely helped my anxiety and also had a slight anti-depressant effect. I'm hoping to go back on Memantine within the next couple of months.

If you are taking Memantine, have you thought of taking an SSRI along with it for OCD? I'd be a bit careful with taking Prozac while taking Memantine though. I took the two together I it gave me a 'drunk' feeling. Consider another SSRI which is indicated for OCD, but most importantly discuss it with your doctor first.

Good luck!

May I recommend luvox and they have just released a cr version. I've taken it for years and it is great with anxiety. Doesn't increase. I also take a benzo. But luvox was officially declared as an OCD SSRI. Phillipa
