can neurontin cause mania at higher doses?

As far as I'm aware high doses of Neurontin don't cause mania. In fact it it should have the opposite effect. The main side effects that I'm aware of are drowsiness, dizziness and fatigue.
I certainly had no such problems of mania when I was taking it a few years back.
