help...
I have a cold...sneezing, sinus, etc...no fever or anything...just a cold..not allergies...
I need a cold med but don't know what to take.
I am on Emsam patch.. half of the 9 mg patch.
Pharmacist have basically told me I can't take any cold med.
I found "coricidin" cold/flu for people with High blood pressure. It doesn't say anything about MAOI interaction. However it does have chlorpheniramine antihistamine. I checked with my psych and she said no antihistamine. she suggested that I can have ingredient guaifenesin which is in robitussin...however when I look at robitussin cold/cough it has guifenesin but says do not use with maoi...
i can't think anymore with my cold...help...someone who has succesfully taken a cold med, can you please give me name, ingredients etc....what to stay away from...
btw I'm in the USA...so if you know of meds avail here...help.

It's late and know you must be suffering . I'd try Dr. Bob's side and google for a thread on Ensam and cold meds I remember there were some. Good luck to you. Phillipa
