Effexor xr to Meridia(sibutramine)

Contemplating a switch from Effexor xr to Meridia due to weight gain. 60lbs in a year *yikes*. Effexor worked, then pooped out - tried to up the dose but could not tolerate... so wellbutrin sr has been added and the depression seems mildly improved but I am ne crying again (good or bad I dunno). Anyways.. Has anyone tried Meridia for depression who has also tried Effexor? Both being SNRI's I'm thinking the wellbutrin sr will still be ok?
