The drug works well, but the headaches and muscle tightness kill me.
Someone mentioned alieve, but does little for me.

Sorry about the headaches for some reason didn't get them what is your dose is it high? As only got to 50mg myself. Phillipa

I took lamictal for six months. I am bipolar (more depression than mania) and it was by far the best mood stabilizer I ever used. The only side effect didn't even start until five month in???- horrible headaches. I was 23, a college student. The doctors didn't even know it was lamictal for a month. I tried about every pain killer out there- heavy duty prescriptions- vicodin, dyladide, etc. Finally I had to go off lamictal. If you ever find another way let me know. Now I'm on lithium, and it's ok, but I have some weight gain and some hypomaniac episodes lamictal prevented.
