I'm taking 400mgs of Provigil, and i know the half life is about 15 hrs, so wondered if it's best to take all and get full effect during the day.

How many hours are they typically taken apart? I assume first thing morn, then maybe before 3pm to avoid insomnia?

PS- what's less stimulating than ritalin, but still a stimulant

Half life and active life are two different things. Splitting the dose will probably give you better effects.
I found the best choice for Provigil for me was to take a front loaded split dose -- 100mg at breakfast, and another 50mg about lunch time. That worked out well for me. I would have liked to go up, but my doctor switched me to Ritalin instead. That worked a treat, so I can't complain.
Good luck with it. How are you doing? Are you still working with the same doctor? Still overseas?

I only have tried the immediate version, and it gave me great anxiety, and fast heart beat. I was needing higher doses to reach effect. That was in china, so now that i am back, perhaps i could try the LA version?
