vynase -how to avoid tolerence

Posted by meAgain on November 1, 2007, at 0:40:29

my pdoc just started me on vynase yesterday and I filled the script and was so eager to try it because i had built a tolerance to my concerta and i was frustrated that it didnt do much for me anymore so I took the 75mg dose of vynase and it worked awesome, but i took it about 5hours after my a.m. dose of concerta. After having both of those meds in my system caused extreme insomia and I only got 3 hours of sleep. So I took my vynase this morning and it worked for a couple hours but then i was pooped out. I hope I didnt screw up my tolerence for vynase already because it was the best smooth and effective med I have been on for ADD out of ritalin, adderall and concerta. can some one give me advice...
thank you sooo much!!

Maybe yesterday was a bad day and give body time to adjust as I've heard that vyanase is a very good and long acting med. And good luck. Phillipa

yeah I just need to get some good rest and let myself renew myself, I had a long chaotic day and over did myself. But I definently give Vynase a big thumbs up! Thanks for your reply:)

I been trying vynase, its decent, but I do get edgy and grind my teeth all day without noticing. It FEELS good, and I have more ENERGY for the most part, but it doesnt help me very much with focusing, it just kind of speeds up the "not-focusing" which is fun and entertaining but it does make me wonder if my problems are really ADD, because I thought that ADD meds really kind of chill you out if you are really ADD. Ive tried adderal too, for quite a while, with pretty much the same effect.

I tried the stuff for 8 days (no script) to see how it would work for me since Adderall did a lot for me when I tried it.

It worked great at first and now only 8 days later its not doing much at all and only lasts for a short time. Crazy! I am actually kind of depressed on this last day I have a dose and nothing near the good feeling I had only a week ago or less.

One day I started feeling really crappy and realized it was from stopping the Paxil 5 days earlier (since Vynase masks a lot of bad feelings I thought I would be fine), so when I got home that early evening (2 days ago), I took a Paxil. I figured I wouldn't be able to sleep that early (to escape bad feeling) so I took more Vynase, stayed up all night, and started my next day with more Vynase.

I wonder how much of the tolerance thing would have happened if I wouldn't have ocasionally done things like the above paragraph. Since I have an adictive pysiology, it probably would still increase pretty fast

Abruptly stopping and starting Paxil is not a good idea. Vyvanse is not a substitute for Paxil. You might do quite well on Paxil + Vyvanse. The combination of SSRI + stimulant is used for treatment resistant depression and ADHD.
