I've been on 25mg for a few months. For the last 5 days I've increased it to 37.5, eventually going up to 50mg. My mood has been worse. There is the chance that it is my hormones, and I know I should stick it out, but I'm looking for some hope (this sucks).

Chiron not a criticism but that's the baby or child starter pack. I always have side effects and lamictal was fine till 50mg then excessive salivation. Are you are that age? Maybe check your hormones . I don't think they can check mine over menopause. But hormones are so important. Good luck Phillipa

I have been on lamictal for almost 5 weeks now. I have worked my way up to 100mg without any side effects. I am feeling great on it. It just takes time to feel the effects of lamictal because most pdocs titrate the medication slowly. You're on such a small dose to really notice if it is the right medication for you. It just takes time.
Goodluck,
