Posted by AdamCanada on July 18, 2007, at 1:24:21

feeling worse on it than i did back when i was just on paxil 10mg and ativan (2-3 0.5 ativans daily).

i feel tired and even less interested in social activities than before.

im taking it for atypical depression

how long did it work for u guys? or is 3 weeks and feeling bad on it a sign that i shouldn't bother anymore?

i've almost made up my mind

Just my opinion since you were better before I'd ditch it. Love Phillipa

I've only been on it a week (and so just on the starting 15mg dose while I taper off of Cymbalta). I'd say that Remeron has helping my depression - which was the worst I'd been yet. We're talking lying-on-the-floor, ready to not wake up depression. It was awful, especially since the Cymbalta had been working for over a year.

But yes, since starting Remeron I'm sleeping ALL the time, and
yes, I'm eating ALL the time.

As far as responding to the AD-qualities, I've read that it takes between 1 and 4 weeks for a body to respond. I don't think my results are typical, apart from the sleeping and eating part. Mood-wise, I am feeling flat-ish, but not as bleak as I had been.

Perhaps something to augment it, as someone else had suggested (I think)? Like Adderall?

Good luck.

I personally found that some antidepressants can be different when used in combinations with other drugs.

I found that remeron was helpful during periods of high anxiety, when I begin to eat less and sleep less, although was not as affective for day to day dysthemia (which has no apparent source).

i never felt well-rested
didn't care for the type of dreams either
