I notice within an hour or two of taking Depakote ER I get hot & really thirsty. It's kind of hard, because I take it at night and I can't drinka lot of water becuase then I am up all night.
Why does it make me hot and thirsty?

I don't know did you ask you doc? And what age bracket are you in are you young or at that age where peri-menopause could be causing night sweats. Just a thought. Love Phillipa

It may be affecting your liver, as they have a warning about that. I think such a thing could make one thirsty. I would call doctor before stoping it or anything as I am not a doctor.
